Preventing the Big One

Dr. Bethany Denlinger

Risk Factors for Heart Disease

South Hill – Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the U.S.  An estimated 647,000 Americans die from heart disease each year; that is one in every four deaths.  The most common type of heart disease in the U.S. is coronary artery disease (CAD), which is the main cause of heart attack.  What are the symptoms of a heart attack?  What are risk factors?  How can “the big one” be prevented?  How can I live a healthier life?
